Continuity of Employment Program
Families of military service members face unique challenges and it is one of our goals to be there to support them. For spouses and partners, finding new employment when a military service member receives PCS (permanent change of station) orders is one of the greatest of these challenges. As we all know, moving is never easy and certainly never fun, and having to find a new job adds an extra layer of complexity and stress to an already stressful situation!
NEXCOM has established a special program called the Military Family Member Continuity of Employment Program for spouses and partners who work for us. We want to be sure that your employment service and benefits are not interrupted each time you relocate. To achieve this objective, our Human Resources team begins an employment search as soon as you notify us of your next duty station. You will be placed on leave without pay when you depart your old duty station, and have the option of making direct contributions to your associate benefit plans. If your new duty station is at an installation where there is a NEXCOM location, you will receive priority placement for up to a year for positions for which you qualify.

I used it when my spouse received PCS orders from Japan to Virginia, and then again from Virginia to Naples, Italy. We leave Naples in March and I plan to use the continuity program again!"
