Working for the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) means that you have the opportunity to enjoy a lifetime career with an organization with a meaningful mission and clear, noble purpose. There are unique opportunities for advancement, travel, and experiences that you won’t find anywhere else.
Look for training opportunities at your location and keep an open dialogue with your Supervisor and your HR department to let them know where your interests lie. In addition to taking stock of your training options, you’ll also need to see what job openings are available.
Searching for jobs is an easy, online process! Our Taleo Automated Hiring System allows you to set up your personal profile with your preferences, search for jobs using keywords or by location, and apply online.
Associates have a unique 9-digit user name which is a combination of your Payroll ID, Social Security Number (SSN), and the number “0.” The formula is: Last 4 Payroll ID + Last 4 SSN + 0. If you aren’t sure, you can always go to the sign-in page and click “Forgot Your User Name.” Enter your home email address, and your User Name will appear on the screen.
Each job listing has a job description and a set of minimum qualifications required (MQRs). Carefully review the MQRs to ensure you meet these requirements before you apply for a job. It’s also important to make sure that your job application (and résumé if applicable) includes a description of your current and previous job responsibilities and the skills and knowledge you would bring to the position. Our HR Recruiters can ONLY qualify you as a candidate based on what you submit in-writing. It is in your best interest to be detailed and thorough in describing your qualifications when applying for jobs!
Applying for jobs in overseas locations is no different than applying for other jobs. These positions also have requirements and MQRs that you must meet in order to be considered for the position. Like other positions, you can review these requirements before you apply. Check out our Relocation page to learn more about what is involved if you’re selected for a position that requires you to move.
If you enter an incorrect password three times in a row, your account will be locked for 24 hours. Therefore, it’s always best to simply reset your password after the first incorrect password entry. Follow the method below to reset your account password.
WARNING! Do not create a duplicate account with a different email address. Duplicate accounts will create problems in our system that may prevent you from being able to apply to jobs or be recognized as an employee by HR Recruiters! Only your original, correct associate account has the unique identifier attached that flags you as an employee to HR Recruiters.
- Go to www.NavyExchange.Jobs, choose the Internal listings button, and click "Sign in."
- Click "Forgot Your User Name." (Please do this even if you remember your 9-digit user name. There is method to this madness!)
- Enter the home email address associated with your account. Click “Validate.”
- Your 9-digit user name should appear on the screen. If it does not, then a) you may have entered the wrong email, or b) you created a duplicate account and your email is being used elsewhere. If you have tried several emails and none of them work, contact your local HR office.
- Once you see your User Name displayed, click "Forgot Password." Close this browser window or tab.
- Check your home email. You'll have a password reset email after a few moments. (Check your Junk/Spam folder if you do not see it within 10 minutes.) This email contains an Access Code and a Link to reset your password.
- Click the link in the email, enter your User ID and copy/paste the Access Code into the indicated field.
- Next, you have to copy/paste that Access Code a second time, and enter a new password twice. You will be signed out. Don't worry, that's normal.
- Now, enter your User Name and NEW password. Voila! You made it! You're back in business.
EXITING ASSOCIATES: NEXCOM thanks you for your service and invites you to take our Exit Survey. It is easy and quick and should only take a few minutes of your time. The survey is completely anonymous unless you choose the option to be contacted by Human Resources at the conclusion of the survey. We want our Associates to enjoy coming to work each day. Your feedback will help us learn what we are doing well and what we need to improve.
